New publication: Validation of Baveno VII criteria and other non-invasive diagnostic algorithms for clinically significant portal hypertension in hepatitis delta.

Joining forces and expertise with Hannover Medical School, this study validated the diagnostic performance of non-invasive tests for clinically significant portal hypertension in hepatitis delta. Moreover, the prognostic performance of non-invasive tests was demonstrated both in the main HVPG-characterized cohort and a validation cohort comprising of NIT-characterized patients recruited either at Hannover Medial School or at one of Austria‘s expert hepatitis clinics. This manuscript is the first publication arising from an ongoing collaboration with the Maasoumy Group of Hannover Medical School, and represents the pinnacle of Mathias Jachs‘ research fellowship at Hannover Medical School.
